"The ethic of reciprocity (the golden Rule) doesn't discriminate."

I love it Michael. Just yesterday an accident happened right in front of me and my gf. A lady was badly t-boned by someone that ran the light. Her car went spinning though the intersection and was totaled. I immediately jumped out of my car which was in the middle of the intersection to get the woman out of the car, and what do I witness . . . other drivers pissed off because they couldn't immediately get around the wreckage, not the least bit willing to get out to help in the 15 degree weather. They could see me struggling to get this injured lady out of her car, but instead they're beeping their horn and driving right over the wreckage to feed their insatiable consumerism. Conclusion: You're a rare breed!

That's what I'm talking about the willingness to risk for another even if at the time you didn't know no one was in the car. That was a wonderful story of your courage and love for your fellow man ! I wished more people would learn to care for each other in a take the risk and help kind of way.
I have been Blessed by the help of others at times and at times I myself have been able to put the Blessing on someone else.
Great Story ! Thanks for your openness and caring nature....
Your parents must be proud to have raised a kind person like you !

Good story Mike, I have never turned my back on a friend or stranger in need of help (my family sometimes thinks I take too many risks). Labeling myself a good Samaritan would be one way to explain what I do, but I like to follow what I consider the only rule that matters in life, "Do onto others, as you would want them to do onto you." That covers everything that you do in life from taking back a shopping cart for someone that just unloaded their groceries in the far end of the parking lot, to changing the flat tire for a nicely dressed elderly couple along side the road.

a fascinating story. reminds me of my brother, mike.. .there was this time he and a friend got stranded in the snow after an accident. .he had been thrown from his car. ..had a broken neck and jaw. i was married and living in florida at the time ironically. that incident really had a profound impact on him.
